Origin of this company was as British car manufacturer which was then further owned by a Chinese company. In 1924 the first MG was born. The first car to be launched in India from this brand is MG Hector also know as The Internet Car.
The main Trump Card of this car is its pricing, starting at EX-Showroom 12,73,800 (Petrol)* & 13,88,000 (Diesel)*.

As there is no hump of transmission channel inside the cabin area, so the middle passenger can easily relax his/her leg and seat comfortably. Hector is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine which produces a desirable output of 143 Ps and a 250 NM Torque. It also has another option which includes a 48V hybrid system that kicks in a small amount of power at lower rpm. The petrol engine comes with both manuals as well as the automatic transmission option. The automatic transmission is a bit sluggish and takes some time to respond to throttle input. For driving enthusiasts a manual transmission is preferable.
Hector also gets a 2.0 liter Diesel engine from Fiat which produces a power output of 170 Ps and a whopping torque output of 350 NM all the way to redline. The diesel variant comes only with the manual transmission, but expecting an automatic transmission from MG very soon. The diesel does not at all feel underpowered as compared to the petrol variant. It has sufficient potential to pull this heavy bulk body with a thrust.
